Almerimar:

Almerimar is a modern, purpose-built, coastal resorts Located on the most southernly point of the Costa Almeria. It has over 10 km of wide, sandy beaches along the Playa de Balerma many of which you can have to yourself and as a well planned out Vacation resort is home to a broad selection of good bars, hotels and night-life.

The town has a 1,000 berth marina and a yacht club. Sailing and windsurfing are possible all year round and tuition is available for the novice. The clear, Mediterranean water makes it an excellent venue for snorkeling and scuba-diving. Fishing is also popular – the local industry brings in large catches of tuna. For the golfers amongst you there is Almerimar Golf course nearby & La Envia a little further away.

Although Traditionally a Holiday centre for Spanish visitors , the resort is attracting more and more British and Irish travellers and is getting a reputation as a Puerto Banus without the hustle and bustle, and of course the Marbella prices.

Being the Most southernly point of the costa Almeria, the resort has the highest temperatures and the lowest rainfall for the region

The Spanish majority however are well catered for in local restaurants and bars and it does help to try and speak and live a little Spanish if you fancy holidaying here.

Almerimar is considered a quiet place off season so only go in winter if you are looking to get away.
