Mojacar: is situated in the south east of the Province of Almería in southern Spain. The area can be divided into two distinct areas the coastal seafront area of Mojacar Playa and the Inland old town of Mojacar Pueblo up in the cabrera mountains, the distance between the two is less than two kilometres and many people find it a pleasant walk. Mojacar Pueblo the old town is a delight, It sits up in the mountains overlooking the med down below. A perfectly unchanged Almerian town with narrow cobbled streets and low rise whitewashed buildings. The town does attract some tourism but has not been changed by it. Gift shops sell traditional hand crafted produce and local bars and restaurants are Strictly pitching for local custom with some fine fish restaurants and excellent Tapas bars. Favourite Restaurants in Mojacar Pueblo are La Parata, El Antler and El Viento del Desirto. Ristorante Alibi is a popular Italian eatery. Mojacar Playa is a thriving Seafront town that has benefitted from lots of local development in the last six years. It can lay claim to some of the best beaches in the area and while it does have a more commercial feel with some theme bars and nightclubs it is still not overly commercialised.

The Area around Mojacar has 15km of beaches many of them secluded or accessible only by foot.
