Algeciras
Algeciras
Algeciras in the Costa de la Luz is Ideally located about twenty minutes away from Gibraltar by car and is also close to the major city of Seville. Algeciras is a port city and a gateway to the Atlantic. Because of its proximity to the African coast, cuisine in the area has been influenced greatly by north African Arab tastes. Outside of the Industrial port area , The bay area has some excellent beaches that tend to be isolated and sandy. The promenades are lined with bars and restaurants. The town is home to 100,000 people so there is a good selection of shops. A day out on the rock of Gibraltar is a must and there are also regular ferries to Tangiers. At night the port area is the place for a drinking while the seafront tends to be for diners only.
