Rincon de la victoria 10km to the east of Malaga is a good sized town of about 30000 people that attracts a big crowd in the summer months. Its proximity to Malaga makes it a town of choice for a lot of young people who work in Malaga and it can be pretty lively at night. Beaches in the area and all blue flag the main playa Rincon is situated in a large picturesque cove. Watersports are high on the list of things to do in Rincon, and there is also good golf nearby. As you would imagine for a town of its size there is an excellent selection of shops and restaurants. Sights to see are the eighteenth century fortress, Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana and the Cueva del Tesoro(treasure caves) so called because Moorish kings were reputed to have hidden their treasures there whilst retreating from the Christian invaders.
