About 10km east of Marbella on the road towards the Sierra Ronda Lies the Town of San Pedro De Alcantara. If you are looking for a laid back resort with good beaches away from the hustle of Marbella then this is a spot to consider. The town has a rich history dating back to Roman times and there are ruins and sites to see however the modern town has sprung up to service tourists. Nightlife is more bars and restaurants than clubs and it does tend to switch off early. Nearby are some excellent golf courses such as Guadalmina,El paraiso and atalaya but if you bring a car in 20 mile radius you could play a different course every day.
